The Vishva Hindu Parshad (VHP) released the Shri Amarnathji Yatra Guidebook-2019 in
collaboration with the Tourism Federation of Jammu and Shri Amarnathji Yatra Welfare Society here on Saturday.
The guidebook was released by Vinayak Rao Deshpande, international general secretary of the VHP, in the presence of Jammu mayor Chander Mohan Gupta and deputy mayor Purnima Sharma.
Published both in Hindi and English, the guidebook has information relating to the helpline, auspicious days during the yatra as per the Hindu calendar, details of the Shiva tourism circuit, copies of the application forms for securing advance registration and compulsory health certificate.
The guidebook, which is in the eight year of its publication, will be distributed free of cost among the stakeholders across the country. It is aimed at creating awareness about the yatra disciplines and encourage the pilgrims to perform the pilgrimage without any hesitation.
President, Shri Amarnathji Yatra Welfare Society, Kiran Wattal, while speaking on the occasion, highlighted the need to promote pilgrimages in J&K. He asked everybody to contribute to the journey of nationalism and elaborated on the importance of historic pilgrimages in the state.
