25 March 2019, Tirupati: TTD Joint Executive Officer B Lakshmikantham said on Sunday that Ayurveda was an ancient Indian science derived from the Atharwana Veda for the well-being of mankind.
Addressing the 36th anniversary of the TTD run Sri SV Ayurveda Medical College as chief guest on Sunday, the JEO said Ayurveda medicine had gained popularity and devoid of any side effects. He said another OP block will be set up in the College hospital in view of its popularity and a new compound wall and arch will be constructed.
Assuring students of good employment opportunities, he urged them to focus on studies. Earlier the Principal of the College Dr A Shankarbabu said in the annual report that so far 30 batches of students had completed their courses and were employed in private and government hospitals across the country. Presently 255 students including 38 girl students were accommodated in the TTD hostels.
