Marking a change in how Karavali Utsav is held, the district administration is holding this year’s 10-day-long festival with a theme to project the culture and heritage of the city. The Utsav will start on December 21 at the Karavali Utsav Grounds and Kadri Park and culminate on the Panambur Beach on December 30.

Talking to reporters here on Tuesday, Deputy Commissioner Sasikanth Senthil S. said that events have been planned in a way that will protect the heritage and culture of the city. “A concerted effort is being made to bring to light old heritage. We will show the importance of our (region’s) natural properties,” he said.
