Sikhs observe Baisakhi with great enthusiasm and liveliness. Sikhs are known for their aggressive spirit of celebration. The auspicious day starts for the Sikhs by visiting the Gurudwara. Sikh women prepare Khada Prasad at home and offer it in the Gurudwara where it is distributed among the devotees. Processions are also carried out at many cities of Punjab. These processions are very grand and the rich and poor participate on equal grounds.

Sikh men and women wear clean and new clothes. The women folk clean their houses and prepare their traditional and tantalizing cuisine. Gifts are exchanged and Sikhs visit each other to greet in the New Year.
Bhangra is a folk dance of Punjab. The festivity of Baisakhi is incomplete without Bhangra. Bhangra is an epitome of liveliness and rhythm. Many Sikhs grab this opportunity to visit the Golden Temple in Amritsar. This pilgrimage is very sacred to the religious Sikhs.
There are many sacred Sikh pilgrimages in Pakistan. Every year the number of Sikhs visiting these sacred pilgrimages increases. Baisakhi is celebrated on 13th April every year. Due to some astrology reason it falls on 14th April once in 36 years. In 2011 Baiskahi was celebrated on 14th April.
