BHOPAL: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has planned its Diwali national executive meeting in Bhopal. The meeting is scheduled to take place from October 12 to 15. The Sangh Parivar is likely to discuss on the Ram Mandir issue in the meet. There will also be a special focus on the non-BJP ruled.

The meeting, normally called as 'Deepavali Baithak' will be attended by representatives and members of Madhya Bharat Prant apart from Sangh national functionaries including RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat, his deputy Bhaiyyaji Joshi and BJP national president Amit Shah.

"The meeting schedule was declared during the recent executive committee meeting held at Vrindavan in UP. This is a routine annual meeting where all representatives of the region and top brass of the Sangh Parivar will discuss organisation issues", RSS regional publicity in-charge, Narendra Jain told TOI.

The Sangh Parivar has recently held the Hindu Sammelan of Madhya Bharat region in Betul and also organised a series of meetings with the BJP to discuss core issues related to conversions, tribals and Dalits. In Vrindavan, the national executive meet deliberated on Bengal and Kerala, which are likely to be the core issues in the Bhopal baithak too, said sources in the Sangh Parivar.

In the 'Deepavali Baithak', senior Sangh functionaries will discuss the impact of Ram Navami.
In non-BJP ruled states, the RSS plans to hold special functions to mark Durga Puja and Dussehra. Saffron groups including the Bajrang Dal and Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) will organise Trishul Diksha on Ashtami and Navami and Shastra Puja (weapon worship) on Vijay Dashami.
